X-Rite has announced a new, consolidated i1Pro product line, simplifying the solution selection process for customers.
Effective September 1 2008, i1Pro solutions will be offered in only two packages: i1Basic and i1XTreme, offering customers the right solution at the right price for their particular workflow needs.
In order to fully consolidate the i1Pro line, also effective September 1 2008, we will be retiring i1Photo, i1Photo SG, and i1Proof. i1iO promotional bundles will also be retired, however customers can still add the automated i1iO chart reader to enhance their workflow at any time as their needs change.

The new i1XTreme is based on the same great comprehensive i1XT solution you already know, but now introduced with a new name and new lowered price point! We’ve included all the essential colour control functionality needed for high-end colour production environments.

NEW i1Basic
The new X-Rite i1Basic is an affordable, professional spectral colour measurement solution. With i1Basic, you will be able to scan spectral colour, obtain accurate colour on all displays, utilize i1Pro to linearize printers, and easily add affordable functionality through new lower priced upgrade modules. i1Pro is supported by all leading RIP manufacturers and other 3rd party applications, making the i1Basic even more versatile.
i1Basic includes an i1Pro spectrophotometer and i1Match software limited to monitor profiling only. With the included i1Share freeware, you’ll also be able to capture flash and ambient light.

RETIRED i1 SOLUTIONS
Effective September 1 2008, i1Photo, i1Photo SG, i1Proof, i1XT and i1iO Promotional Bundles will be retired from the i1 family of solutions. The target customer for these solutions is now served with the new i1Basic/i1XTreme solutions. Customers wishing to buy an i1Pro solution + iO should now order these as two separate items (but may be purchased at the same time, on the same purchase order or at a later date, whichever the customer prefers.).
(i1Photo LT and i1Design LT were retired on May 29, 2008. The target customer for these solutions is now served with the ColorMunki portfolio.)
